 Toki Doki is a new Japanese Diner on Tofino’s Industrial Way. A casual take-out only space based out of an 80’s airstream and located next to our friends at the Tofino Brewery.
We are here to make fill your belly kind-of-food while you sip on your favourite beverage. We specialize in Osaka style Okonomiyaki, and Japanese beer food.

Toki Doki is owned and operated locally by myself, Madi (she/her) and my partner, Kei (he/him). I tend to be the face in the window or behind the Instagram screen while Kei is in the kitchen creating his take on traditional Japanese food.
When it’s not just the two of us here we have multiple other friendly faces that make up Toki Doki. Our staff mean EVERYTHING to us, and we feel pretty great about getting to work with people we also know as close friends.

What you can expect:
-We believe in a living wage. Wages start at $20 an hour + benefits for fulltime staff (dental included)
-Free daily staff meal 
-50% staff discount on food and merch
-Amazing weekly tip out. Tips are split evenly between all staff (based on hours worked)

We are looking for:
-Dedicated individuals who thrive in fast paced environments
-Persons who are detail oriented and tidy
-Must have a love for Japanese food, knowledge not necessary (we will teach you!) but a love for food is a must 
-Experience in a kitchen is an asset, but are happy to train the right candidate
-Must be able to commit till at least September 30th
-Must have safe and secure housing


Please note, we do not have staff accommodation just yet, at this time we will only be able to offer positions to individuals with secure, safe housing.
